Everywhere you order powder or primers will always charge you a hazmat fee on top of standard shipping. This is because powder and primers MUST ship as hazardous materials by federal law. UPS and FedEx charge $28.50 for all hazardous orders.
We have always and still do sell powder and primers in our local store but have never shipped it. So if you are located in Eastern North Carolina feel free to come on in and avoid the fee. Due to overwhelming demand that we begin to sell powder and primers online to customers nationwide we have listened.
Unfortunately at this time our website platform will not allow us to add this hazardous fee to only certain products. So if you are purchasing powder or primers you MUST ADD THIS TO YOUR CART. Your order will not be shipped with powder or primers unless you have paid the $28.50 fee. Simply add this item to your cart with and orders that contain powder or primers.
This will cover powder/primer orders up to 50 lbs. You must add 1 of these for every 50 lb order or powder if need be.
A Hazmat Fee of $28.50 is assessed on any order containing any item(s) flagged as Hazmat, such as powder, primers or fuses. The fee is assessed for every 50 lbs of hazmat items requiring shipping. For example:
Hazmat items weighing between 0 and 50 lbs = $28.50 hazmat fee
Hazmat items weighing between 50.01 and 100 lbs = $55.00 hazmat fee (2 x $28.50 hazmat fee)
Hazmat items weighing between 100.01 and 150 lbs = $82.50 hazmat fee (3 x $28.50 hazmat fee)
And so forth. The hazmat fee is only assessed for the total weight of the hazmat item(s) on the order, not the weight of the entire order.
Ammunition carries a hazmat fee of $40.00 when shipping via expedited service levels other than standard ground.
A DIRECT SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED ON ALL HAZMAT DELIVERIES
